We celebrated Hayley Estelle’s graduation at Eaglenest. Jeanne and Cliff had lots of good food and grilled hamburgers and dogs in the evening. We got to see the Hellyer family and lots of Clan. Here’s the graduate with Jerome, Janet and sweet Juliana.

Actually, it is John’s fault that I am doing this. He told me about someone who got this assignment as a present from his wife FOR A YEAR. I thought I would try it for a month. It’s kind of fun. Do you want to see my garden? It is finally plowed after five years. But I could not plant anything since Bambi and Thumper would eat it all. So now I have a fence. Still nothing planted except marigolds, but I’m going to work on that. Honest.garden-002.jpg

Easter

April 12th, 2009

Praise the blessed Savior of us all! He lives! He has risen! Alleluia! It was a beautiful spring day in the Valley. We attended the Easter Sunday service at Sacred Heart Church in Liberty and tried to squeeze the whole Clan into three seats. 100_4822.JPGIt did not work. The House of Jay sat elsewhere. It was a packed house. Afterward e went downstairs for fellowship with our Sacred Heart family. Then we headed back to the Valley for a full Clan Easter spread! YUM! Panyon decided to hunt eggs along with the Sweeney-kins, so she had to put up for a while. The Easter Bunny made a surprise visit, 100_4824.JPG100_4823.JPGand Cletie Bigstuff was a mentor to Tori on her first egg hunt. Clete and ToriThe eggs had pennies instead of yolks, but you know what they say, “The yolks are free; the drinks are two bits!”tori and egg JustinConnor View more pictures at:http://picasaweb.google.com/joan.dixon.wood/Easter2009#

Juliana and Tori

March 22nd, 2009

I went to a 2 year old’s birthday party today! What fun! A bunny cake, bubbles, and party dresses! The best part, though, was Juliana’s christening of my brother as “Aunt John!”Bunny cake100_4801.JPG
