Eating with Alice at The Red Squirrel (I had meatloaf!)
I got to visit Caitlan and Kyle at their apartment after the races. It’s coming along. Then on Saturday we went to Cincinnati to vist Alice and all Kyle did was play games. Not really–more later.
We journeyed to Urbana today to see the North Adkins family. We gathered at Dennis’s house. Jacque, Keith, Madeline, and Logan were in from St. Louis, and Jacque had mae a great lunch for us–ham, twice-baked potatoes, corn, pumpkin pie, etc. Chris has to work so we only saw her for a little while. Today was another productive day. I woke up early so got a shower and worked on e-mail for a while. Then when Deb got up she brought me coffee, o.j., and a Deb McMuffin. Alice had stayed at 4th St. and I stayed at Deb’s, so Alice came back to pick us up, and we […]
I can’t believe it! Today with the help of Jerome, Janet, and Alice, I actually got Kelley Ridge liveable again. After I moved all the stuff out of 4th Street, I had no idea where to put everything and still make room to have some semblance of order. Jerome and Janet have “the eye,” and […]
I left as soon as I could after school. I had to to the Valley to get Greg. Then I dropped him off at Deb’s before meeting Nancy and Mor-Mor at the Hampton Inn. We talked for a while and then went out to eat. We wanted to go to Red Lobster, but there was […]
Today I spent most of my day at Kelley Ridge. I had spent the night at Deb’s and slept in until I was awakened by KK’s phone call. At first I thought it was my alarm, so I’m glad I looked at the phone and answered it instead of pushing the hang up key! Caitlan […]
Yesterday Alice and KK spent time at the Valley and went to church in Lancaster. I got off work and went back to 4th St. The transformation of the bed and bathrooms was phenomenal. What a great thing a little paint is. They hauled old doors from the barn at Kelley Ridge to 4th St., […]
Alice is here. YAY! She inspires us to do work! We got started on the entry way on 4th Street–tore down a wall and revealed a staircase. How invigorating it is to sledge hammer holes and crow-bar down chunks of drywall. It’s why some people like to watch “This Old House.” Alice and KK had […]
